What We Do
Most of our work is very similar to the project in Fintry: helping communities get the most from windfarms or other renewable energy developments.
However, we also help with standalone, community-led projects: everything from small scale hydro-projects, right up to large scale, community owned wind turbines.
All the projects we're involved in are currently work-in-progress so we can't say very mich about them at the moment.
How Does It Work?
- Using the natural resources available in your local environment (usually wind or water), the community develops and subsequently owns a renewable energy resource.
- The electricity produced by this resource is sold to an electricity utility company.
- A long-term income stream is then available to the community to be used for other community projects.
